Synopsis

Ten convicts, sentenced to live out the rest of their days on the Planet of Exiles, attempt to cross a lifeless wilderness in search of the mythical Happy Isles – a place where, as they believe, no harm can come to them. However, the Isles' actual existence is little more than a rumor. The team splits into two groups, one led by Erwin Kahn and the other by Just van Borg. Both men try to take their followers along the same dangerous and unpredictable route, but their path to the Isles is blocked by many obstacles. The ultimate prize is freedom and happiness.
